Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly-motivated and dependable UNIX systems & Storage administrator who has experience with build and support/maintenance activities on IBM AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, SAN & NAS storages. Must be a self starter capable of simultaneously prioritizing, and managing, a variety of complex project tasks and support activities in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have experience with backup and restore services. The UNIX & storage administrator will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to application teams and delivery managers within the organization. This person will be also be responsible for documenting processes and automating them via scripting, as required. This individual will also be part of a 24x7 on-call rotation providing support for the production systems (servers & storage). The individual will be responsible for solving problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment; is responsible for evaluating current systems, and assisting in designing solutions for customers. Candidate must possess solid analytical, technical, written and oral communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision, install and maintain UNIX systems, SAN & NAS storage
Support Servers including; Linux, AIX; SAN & NAS Storage Arrays, and Backup and Recovery Hardware and Software.
Monitoring and providing break/fix support to Unix Servers, SAN and backup systems across the enterprise.
Architecting server, storage and backup configurations to match application and high availability requirements.
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with the environments (Servers, storage and backup systems)
Champion introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments. Lead technical discussion for new initiatives & design a solution as per IT roadmap.
Performing routine audits of systems and software.
Installing and configuring new hardware and software. Applying updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Answering technical queries from other IT support teams (DBA's, app development, networking, etc.).
Available to provide after hours and on-call support.
Partnering with peers and management to make informed strategic/big-picture decisions.
Designing, recommending, and deploying emerging storage technologies.
Perform proactive support functions and reporting to maintain the integrity of the enterprise equipment and infrastructure.
Contributes to the design and support of enterprise SAN and backup systems including but not limited to technical architecture, stability, and platforms.
Participate in the assessment and optimization of the storage systems, through systems monitoring, statistics, and daily health checks. Work with management to ensure accurate reporting KPIs and trends for all facets of the environment.
Maintains accurate and comprehensive documentation diagrams of the enterprise storage and backup infrastructure and configurations.
Identify and initiate continuous improvements.
Instill commitment to quality, customer service, ownership, and teamwork.
Build strong customer relationships. Promote internal/external customer service among organization.
Maintain awareness of new technological developments in industry and processes - implement concepts appropriately.
Work with ticket queue to track support issues.
Make decisions that reflect the best interest of the company.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills / Qualifications:
US Person.
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of seven years of experience of relevant IT support preferably in the semiconductor industry
Able to support, configure and deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Sun Solaris and IBM AIX systems. Performance Tuning and system optimization.
Experience managing and understanding of backup and multi-vendor storage solutions that are SAN attached. (Netapp, HP, EMC, Pure storage, Tintri, etc.)
Experienced in deployment and management of enterprise backup systems and software like Netbackup, TSM, SAN, NAS, etc.)
Fluent with shell scripting, PERL and UNIX utilities. Skill to automate routine tasks.
Ability to troubleshoot standard daemons and tools (ssh, nfs, ntp, apache, pki, sudo, syslog, logrotate, chkconfig, init scripts, rsync, etc.).
Performance tuning and system optimization.
Understanding of/experience with local/wide area networking concepts/protocols.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in mission-critical operations, ideally within a 24x7 large scale distributed and clustered environment.
Interact with vendors in the resolution of complex problems.
Effectively communicate with customers, help desk support personnel and senior engineers.
Provide ongoing training and technical direction to other team members pertaining to system optimization, installation, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Interact with vendors in the resolution of complex problems.

Participate in the evaluation of new technology solutions. Evaluate equipment for performance and interoperability.
Understand, Document, and Maintain Infrastructure failure points and plan for redundancy.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Knowledge about Cloud and Virtualization technologies.
Ability to deploy, configure, and support Sun/Oracle Solaris and HPUX systems.
Excellent technical documentation skills.
Familiarity in the following areas is also a plus:
Apache, revision control systems, LDAP, puppet, kickstart, clustering/high availability, PERL, JSS, Windows clients, Nagios, Cisco switches and routers
ITIL skills are preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
