Intern - Mechanical Engineer

Summary of role:
Globalfoundries FAB10 inEast Fishkill, NY is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to work withthe CUP (Central Utility Plant) Mechanical Engineering Team in physicallytracing out systems, identifying changes, and updating the respective drawingsusing AutoCAD. These systems include, High and Low Temperature Chilled Water,High Temperature Hot Water, Deionized Water, and Compressed Air Systems. The successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter, requires minimaldirection and supervision, and works well in a team environment. Strongcommunications and AutoCAD experience is a plus. The internship will run fromthe middle of May 2019 to the middle of August 2019.
??? Trace out and identify system components, i.e. valves(manual and automatic), piping, pumps, fans, compressors, chillers, boilers,etc.
??? Understand mechanical component symbols and able to applyto the drawings.
??? Learn AutoCAD, if not already familiar.
??? Work with the Systems Mechanical Engineers in diagnosingand solving system problems.
??? Aid in the verification of all system per unit costs.
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineeringcurriculum.
Ability to utilize ladders and tools.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
